From the North:
Take I-91 through Hartford then take Exit 17 for the Wilbur Cross Parkway (Route
15, it becomes the Merritt Parkway further south). Continue South on Rt 15 to
Exit 58 for Route 34 West/Derby (NOT New Haven). Continue on Route 34
approximately 5 miles. Route 34 will turn left at a stoplight (landmarks:
Tailgators Restaurant, Catholic Church) and wind through town of Derby. Route 34
takes you up a slight hill, down a hill and through a stoplight. Boat house is
about 1 mile outside of town on left hand side of Route 34, a few hundred meters
up stream of a large dam. The boathouse is a wood sided building with a gray
metal roof.
From the Yale Bowl (Route 34):
Get on Route 34 West towards Derby. See directions above.
From Downtown New Haven:
Go north on Chapel Street, then turn left on Derby Avenue (Route 34 West). See
directions above.
From I-91:
Take Exit 3 off of the Route 34 Connector and follow Route 34 West. See
directions above.
From I-95:
In Bridgeport, take the Route 8 North exit. Stay on Route 8 until you see signs
for Route 34 West/Derby. Do not go towards New Haven. Once on Route 34, see
directions above.
From I-84 and the East:
Look for Route 34 East off of I-84. Stay on Route 34, cross over the Stevenson
Dam, and the Gilder Boathouse is approximately 5 miles east from the dam.

Directions via I-95 and I-91
From South of New Haven, Connecticut: Follow I-95 North to I-91 North. Take I-91 North to Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Go straight ahead on Trumbull to Prospect Street. Turn right and follow Prospect Street about 1.5 miles and make a left onto Goodrich Street. After about 100 yards, turn left again at the main entrance to the campus.
From North of New Haven, Connecticut: Follow I-95 South to I-91 North. Take I-91 North to Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Go straight ahead on Trumbull to Prospect Street. Turn right and follow Prospect Street about 1.5 miles and make a left onto Goodrich Street. After about 100 yards, turn left again at the main entrance to the campus.

From the North of New Haven: Follow the Merritt Parkway South (Route 15) to Exit 61 (Whitney Avenue). Turn right and follow Whitney Avenue about 4 miles to Ogden Street. Turn right onto Ogden and proceed to Prospect Street. Turn right onto Prospect Street and take the first left onto Goodrich Street. After about 100 yards, turn left again at the main entrance to the campus.
From the South of New Haven: Follow the Merritt Parkway North (Route 15) to Exit 61 (Whitney Avenue). Turn left and follow Whitney Avenue about 4 miles to Ogden Street.
